A Few Pictures

So there is not too much new going on around here lately, Caleb is crawling faster and climbing higher when pulling himself up. He is still working on getting used to taking steps with his walker and he continues to let go and get more comfortable standing by himself. I will be heading back to PA for a wedding next week, so I'll be sure to post some pics of family and friends from that trip when I get back!

The picture above was from a few weeks ago when we started feeding Caleb meats. This was him trying beef (and consequently having a meltdown with it)! He likes it all now, but at first he was not a fan!

Adventures with trying a fork! Caleb likes to hold it and try to get the food in his mouth (here he's eating avocado). It's so cute!

I thought I would post a few pictures from some of the events I have been to with my Mom's group. Above are pics from a walk where we took a stop on the Salem Willows pier. These are some of the babies Caleb hangs out with most often!

The picture above and the ones below are from an event at Strike One, a large indoor turf field where the kids run (or crawl) wild!

He loved the tubes to crawl through!

Caleb taking off!

Caleb's friend Mia trying out a tube as well!

Finally, some pics from a babydate where the kids where just hanging out. They all really loved playing with the cups!

Another friend Reese above!

There's Tyler above. Tyler's Dad is also a PSU grad, so Jaime (his Mom) put him in that hat that day for me & Caleb!

All the babies just doing their own thing!

Fun Videos!

Here's a quick installment of fun videos to share. The first one is of Caleb trying out his new walker, and the second is a funny one...I'll let you all discover what that one's all about! :)

He let go!

This past Friday another big milestone occurred (or at least it was a big deal to us)! Caleb had pulled himself up to standing using the coffee table and was just playing around, and all of a sudden, he let go and put his arms up in air! He has only let go twice without his body touching anything (where he is standing without any support) and in the last couple of days he has let go several times when he is pressed up against the coffee table or leap frog table, etc. that support him around the belly. The only pictures we've gotten so far are ones when he is pressed up against something, so we will keep trying. But for now, it is so fun to watch him gain confidence in this skill. It is so cute, he'll throw his hands up in the air and shake them side to side like he is almost saying, "Yay! Look at what I can do!" This I know is the first step toward walking (which we're not rushing by the way...it will come soon enough)! So we are definitely excited and proud of the lil' man for being so brave to try this! :)
