Our Trip to PA

So last week we took a trip to PA, since Jason had the week off because of Mass. school vacation. Our first stop was to Williamsport to spend the night at our friends, Matt and Amy Weigle's house. Then we went to our old church in Jersey Shore, PA (Lifetree church), went to dinner with the Pastor and his family and then visited some of our old neighbors from South Williamsport. All in all, this part of trip was so enjoyable, and we got to catch up with SO many great friends that we miss dearly already! However, we didn't take a single picture on this leg of the trip (go figure.) But it was great fun. Then we headed to York to visit Val's family after that. Grammy and Pops threw a dessert party for Caleb, so other family members and friends could visit and meet him for the first time. We are so thankful we got the opportunity to see a lot of people we haven't seen in a while there too (and we missed seeing those of you who couldn't make it because of work, illness, etc.) So to make a long story short, we took a TON of pictures in York, so a bunch are posted below (bear with me here!)

Caleb's cute cake

Nana Gow's first time meeting Caleb (and what a cool 4 generations shot this was too!)

Pops and friends (Tammy and Mike) from Nutec

Mrs. Bride holding Caleb

Aunt Ann with Caleb (she's one of Val's Godmother's too)

Uncle Harry holding Caleb (Pops' twin in case you couldn't tell :)

Aunt Mary with Caleb

Aunt Sue with Caleb (Val's other Godmother...she had a cold and wanted to make sure Caleb didn't catch it! She's so sweet!)

Uncle Roge with Caleb

Pops put his little Red Sox helmet on him...he wasn't a fan!

Nana Gow feeding Caleb

A fun family shot!

Some of the yummy desserts!

Mrs. Craven and her daughter Katie stopped by (fun fact...I used to babysit Katie when she was little...how crazy is that?)

Mrs. Melhorn holding a sleepy Caleb

Mrs. Gerstmyer holding Caleb (she's a pro now, as her son Drew just had his first baby Katie, Mrs. Gerstmyer's first grandchild)

Uncle Roy also came to visit!

A 3 generations photo-op

Uncle Matt feeding Caleb for the first time

Pops reading to Caleb

Caleb exhausted from all the fun, napping in the bassinet (lent to him by Aunt Ann/Sue Ann...it's been a family tradition to have all of the grandchildren sleep in it and sign the bottom...Courtney's been in it, Katrina was next, and now Caleb!)

This was a picture from the next day when Jason and I were leaving to go on a date. Grammy and Pops babysat and gave us a night out!

And finally, this was a cute shot we took when Uncle Matt was leaving. Ok...Caleb was also upset because he was hungry...but he also really hates saying goodbye to Uncle Matt too :)

Our First Video Blog

Ok, so our computer is basically ancient and it doesn't have a video card, so that is why we hadn't uploaded any video to this point. But we just figured out that our digital camera is compatible...so until we get a better computer...this is at least something! And just a note on the video, we realize that it is super dark and you can barely see Caleb, but it was too cute (and too funny) not to post. I'm not normally one for "toilet" humor, but Caleb's moment of flatulance caught on camera was too hard to resist :) And his cooing is pretty cute too! Enjoy!

And in case anyone is waiting for them, pictures of our PA trip will be up soon too!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day (a day late in posting time)! Here are a few shots of our little valentine in a cute outfit that Grammy and Pops gave him.

Here I am ladies.

What Mom? You want ME to be your valentine?

Big feet!

How did this little devil get wings? :)

Good night our sweet valentine.

One Month Old Already

So Caleb turned one month old this past Monday and we just can't believe how fast he is growing! We went to the one month pediatrician appointment this past Thursday and Caleb is now 10lbs, 7 oz. The doctor said he is thriving and is really happy with Caleb's development and muscle strength (the doctor sat him up and let him go, and Caleb held his head like a champ!) So to say the least, Jason and I are so thankful. God has really blessed us with a healthy kid :) So here are some recent pictures of the little man (and a few others at the bottom that I hadn't had a chance to post before that were from a few weeks ago too!) Enjoy!

Caleb trying out the Bumbo for the first time.

Activity gym time!

Val's first time feeding Caleb a bottle (it is expressed milk for anyone who is curious...breastfeeding is still going wonderfully!)

Caleb happy in the car seat...

And not so happy on another day.

Sneezin'.

I know I'm cute.

Snuggling with Mommy.

Snoozing with Daddy.

Finally, cute in a sweat suit.

He's Getting Big Already!

We can't believe that in a few days Caleb is already going to be a month old. How time is already flying! Val's Mom visited this past week and she brought up her baby scale, and the little man weighed in at 9lbs., 8oz. (that was when he was about 3 weeks old.) We are so excited that he has gained a pound already! His next pediatrician appointment is next week, so we will be sure to post the official one month stats soon. Anyway, here are some new shots of Caleb to share!

Jason's first time bottle feeding Caleb (we just started pumping a week ago, and Caleb has been a champ going between bottle and breast!)

Caleb on the baby scale.

And now he's checking himself out in the mirror!

Family worship time :)

Here is Little C on the "Brest Friend" pillow that I use...he totally fell asleep on it after feeding.

I couldn't resist...I had to post both angles. How cute is that?

Sleepy-head!

And finally, a tummy time workout shot!
