Our Trip To Minnesota

We had such a wonderful trip visiting Jason's family last week. Caleb did really well on both flights (especially on the return trip, he napped the entire time!) and the weather throughout the whole week was spectacular. Here are some pictures of the trip:

This was at around 4:00am as we were finishing getting ready to go to the airport. Caleb was just chillin' in the rocking chair.

Caleb finally taking a nap on the flight to MN. Check out his First Flight certificate from the pilot!

Caleb's first time meeting Grandma (Jason's Mom)

All smiles on this visit :)

Grandma feeding Caleb.

Caleb checking out Gabbie, Grandma's puppy.

Family time!

Caleb getting ready to take his bath on another day at Grandma's place.

We didn't take his bath tub, so Jason went in with him. It's the first time he got to sit in water like that, and he didn't really like it. Go figure!

Caleb napping at Nana and Grandpa's before Vienna's birthday dinner on the first day we were there. He did SO well sleeping in Minnesota (well he normally does well, on average he sleeps about 8 hours straight each night.) But in MN, he didn't nap as much as he normally does (probably because of all of the excitement of meeting new family!) and he slept 9 or 9 1/2 hours each night. I guess he really liked the crib!

Auntie Vienna holding Caleb for the first time (Caleb also met Uncle Shea and Uncle Tyrone, but we never got to snap any pictures of that...sorry guys!)

At least we got one of Shea hanging out (that is him in the left corner of the picture). And on the couch with Don is Betty's Dad, Grandpa James, who was also over for dinner.

Grandpa (Jason's Dad) feeding Caleb on another day.

Hanging out with our "Top Banana" before bed. Grandma got him this outfit...isn't it adorable?

Giggle-fest :)

On the last day before we left, Nana (Jason's Step-Mom) with Caleb. And although you can't see it that well, Caleb is wearing the cute outfit Nana and Grandpa got him on Val and Betty's trip to the mall the day before, when Jason and Don went golfing.

Last shot with Grandpa before heading to the airport. All in all it was a wonderful trip! We hope to get to visit again soon!

More photos to come...

So we are headed on our trip to Minnesota to visit Jason's family this week, and we will be posting pictures from that trip when we get back. In the meantime, here are some recent shots of Caleb doing all sorts of random things :)

This shot above is one of my favorite pictures of Caleb yet!

We took this picture as a joke, we don't actually let Caleb watch TV. However, if it is ever on, he will do whatever it takes to try to watch it (he whips his head around so quick...and then he is mesmerized...it's crazy!)

Now he likes to hold his books as he gets read to :)

Caleb laying on the crib quilt that Flossie sent him.

Check out the hat Tim and Amy gave Caleb. It's so straight out of "Newsies"!

Doesn't Caleb's face totally say, "I just stole something!"

Celebrating Daddy

So last week we had a "Celebrating Daddy" night, by going on a picnic outing and doing some fun things to show our appreciation of Jason. Not only is he incredibly intentional about spending time with Caleb and I, but he does it in addition to all of his teaching responsibilites, his seminary classes (and all the homework that comes with that!) and with the ministry he does to serve our church. He is a wonderful husband and father, and we just wanted to take the opportunity to show him how amazing we think he is! So here are a few pictures from that night.

We love you Jason!

All Giggles

So over the last two weeks, Caleb's laugh/giggles have been developing and we can't get enough of it! I finally caught some on camera last night. Now let me preface this by saying that in no point in time did I hit Caleb in the head with the camera (although that's what it looks like), but rather I am leaning over to kiss his tummy to make him giggle. I just thought I should clarify that since I get pretty close to his head! No worries though :) So over two short videos I caught a couple of giggles, and there is also a pictures below of when he was in the middle of the giggle. Seriously, I could listen to him giggle all day! Enjoy!

A Few Videos

Here are a couple more shots that I didn't put on the last post, as well as two cute videos we took last night. One is of him doing some tummy time, and you can't see it in this one but he is SO close to rolling over, and he has begun to push on his fists to lift up his chest too! Maybe we'll catch those on video soon, but this at least shows you how he's holding his head up high and moving around :) The second video is of him playing with his V-tech driver toy, and we thought it was so funny when he grabbed the gear shifter, we just had to put it on the blog! Enjoy!

Big pout.

His first time playing with his V-tech driver above.

Now he's mastered it!

It's been a while...

So we realize it's been a few weeks since we have had a chance to post, so here are a bunch of pictures from the last two or three weeks or so to catch you all up with what has been going on with Caleb.

Just a cute little shot of him to start things off!

So one of my recent posts was about how we've been trying to get Caleb's big smile on camera, and we finally got a few shots. Sorry they are so blurry...we had to take them quick so we didn't miss them :) Also, he just started laughing this past week as well. We will try to get that on video soon.

Now onto some new stats. Caleb had his two month check up (which was in early March...he is almost three months old now), and he received 6 immunizations in the form of 3 shots and one oral dose. He was a trooper, he only cried for a minute or two, and then he fell fast asleep. Since his one month appointment he gained about a pound and a half and is now 11lbs, 14oz. (probably even bigger since it's been a few weeks) and he grew about an inch and three quarters as well, and is now 23 1/2 inches long. Check out the band-aids on his little legs after the shots below.

Caleb has also been napping in his crib daily now. We will probably move him in there exclusively sometime between 4 and 6 months, but for now, this is his afternoon napping place. He has done so well transitioning into it. This picture was taken through our spiral staircase from the second floor. He woke up from his nap, but didn't freak out when he realized where he was. He cooed a little bit and Jason and I went to look, and he was just laying there staring at us, waiting patiently to be picked up. What a good little man!

Here's a shot of Caleb looking at his Cookie Monster book that Sue Ann, Tom and Courtney gave him. It is definitely his favorite book! And I love that this picture shows his joy in playtime/reading. He is so much fun to play with these days! I love being a stay at home Mom!

I couldn't help but post the picture below (he's in a onesie given to us by our friends the Weigle's). It says, "Jesus loves me, I'm sure of it!" How true and how cute!

Now onto some cute pictures from Easter. Grammy and Pops (Val's Mom and Dad) came to visit over the Easter weekend. We took a trip into Boston to see some sights one day and to Sturbridge Village another. We had a lot of fun, and we will try to post some shots from those trips at another time. But here are some pictures of lil' C in the Easter outfit he got from Grammy and Pops.

Sweet face.

Check out that bunny hat!

Holding onto his Easter basket.

Some of the Easter goodies and presents he got from Grammy and Pops!

He's all set for the summer with new sunglasses, hats and a bathing suit as well that he got for Easter!
