Snow Gear

We thought we would post a few pictures of Caleb in some snow gear that we had gotten but didn't get to use very much. He's too little to play in the snow, and the bundle me on the car seat has sufficed for most of the warmth needed when out in the cold. The great thing is though, a lot of the snow suits are big enough that they might fit next year! But for now, they make for some good photo-ops :) We especially love the photo of him in the hat and gloves (given to him by Linda, a friend of Val's from the hotel!)

We also wanted to give a quick shout out to cousin Piper who has been sick. We hope you feel better soon!

I think Caleb is a look-a-like of the younger brother in "A Christmas Story".
A tiny head poking out of a big snow suit!

Fun With Blocks

It is such a joy for Jason and I to play with Caleb each day, and watch as his little brain soaks it all up! Here are a few shots of the other day when we were playing with his blocks. He loves to hold them and knock them over (when we build little towers and such). After all the fun though, he really got tuckered out as you can see. :)

Daddy's SO funny! Caleb didn't even wake up after this picture; he was out!

All Smiles

So when Caleb turned about 6 weeks old, he started to socially smile, and since then we have had so much fun watching him flash his big toothless grin! I have been trying relentlessly to catch it on camera to post, but it is so hard because usually he smiles and our camera is too slow to catch it. But here are some attempts at least!

Airplane

"Hmmm...this is a fun new game," says Caleb.

"Check out the view from up here!"

"Oh wait...not so fun after all. Mom, do you have a barf bag?"

2 Months Old Today!

We can't believe the little peanut is already 2 months old. How time is flying! Here are some more recent pictures of Caleb to update everyone on how much he's grown up.

Naked time.

So hungry he'll eat Daddy's knuckle (or at least he'll try!)

Working on standing.

Ready for church!

First time trying out the Baby Bjorn carrier.

First time napping in the crib (he slept for like 5 minutes and then woke up crying because he was in a strange place...we're working on getting him acclimated!)

Check out my zebra slippers that great Aunt Ann gave me!

Now I can hang out in the Bumbo all by myself.

Napping.

Buddha belly. Nuff' said.

Superbaby!

It's a bird...it's a plane...it's Superbaby! So recently Caleb has done this funny thing with holding his arms up in the air with little fists clenched. Kind of strange...but definitely funny!

Baby power! :)

A Visit from Grandpa & Future Grad Possibilities

Last weekend, Jason's Dad came to visit and we took some cute shots of Caleb in a little Purdue outfit with him (Don was an alum of the Boilermakers.) As you know, Jason, myself, Uncle Matt, Pops (and several others on the Debes side) are Penn State grads. So we had to take a couple of rival shots of Caleb in PSU attire that Grammy & Pops, and friends the Weigle's, gave him. I wonder where Caleb will go to college...and even scarier...I wonder what tuition will cost in 2025. :)
Grandpa hanging out with the lil' man!
Should I go to Purdue like Grandpa?

Go Boilermakers!

My first Penn State t-shirt from Grammy & Pops...maybe I should be a Nittany Lion?

Let's Go State!

Our Trip to PA

So last week we took a trip to PA, since Jason had the week off because of Mass. school vacation. Our first stop was to Williamsport to spend the night at our friends, Matt and Amy Weigle's house. Then we went to our old church in Jersey Shore, PA (Lifetree church), went to dinner with the Pastor and his family and then visited some of our old neighbors from South Williamsport. All in all, this part of trip was so enjoyable, and we got to catch up with SO many great friends that we miss dearly already! However, we didn't take a single picture on this leg of the trip (go figure.) But it was great fun. Then we headed to York to visit Val's family after that. Grammy and Pops threw a dessert party for Caleb, so other family members and friends could visit and meet him for the first time. We are so thankful we got the opportunity to see a lot of people we haven't seen in a while there too (and we missed seeing those of you who couldn't make it because of work, illness, etc.) So to make a long story short, we took a TON of pictures in York, so a bunch are posted below (bear with me here!)

Caleb's cute cake

Nana Gow's first time meeting Caleb (and what a cool 4 generations shot this was too!)

Pops and friends (Tammy and Mike) from Nutec

Mrs. Bride holding Caleb

Aunt Ann with Caleb (she's one of Val's Godmother's too)

Uncle Harry holding Caleb (Pops' twin in case you couldn't tell :)

Aunt Mary with Caleb

Aunt Sue with Caleb (Val's other Godmother...she had a cold and wanted to make sure Caleb didn't catch it! She's so sweet!)

Uncle Roge with Caleb

Pops put his little Red Sox helmet on him...he wasn't a fan!

Nana Gow feeding Caleb

A fun family shot!

Some of the yummy desserts!

Mrs. Craven and her daughter Katie stopped by (fun fact...I used to babysit Katie when she was little...how crazy is that?)

Mrs. Melhorn holding a sleepy Caleb

Mrs. Gerstmyer holding Caleb (she's a pro now, as her son Drew just had his first baby Katie, Mrs. Gerstmyer's first grandchild)

Uncle Roy also came to visit!

A 3 generations photo-op

Uncle Matt feeding Caleb for the first time

Pops reading to Caleb

Caleb exhausted from all the fun, napping in the bassinet (lent to him by Aunt Ann/Sue Ann...it's been a family tradition to have all of the grandchildren sleep in it and sign the bottom...Courtney's been in it, Katrina was next, and now Caleb!)

This was a picture from the next day when Jason and I were leaving to go on a date. Grammy and Pops babysat and gave us a night out!

And finally, this was a cute shot we took when Uncle Matt was leaving. Ok...Caleb was also upset because he was hungry...but he also really hates saying goodbye to Uncle Matt too :)
